Services

To successfully launch a custom technical plastic component, partnering with a single supplier is a strategic choice. Plastisart has been a specialist in plastic subcontracting for over 50 years, supporting industrial players at every stage of their project, from the first CAD sketch through to the final delivery of parts on your assembly lines, in Belgium and France.

  • Plastisart designs and manufactures your plastic moulds and tools in-house thanks to its integrated mechanical workshop. From design to production, we guarantee precision, responsiveness and process optimisation for high-performance production.

  • Plastisart provides finishing and quality control for your plastic parts. Coating, painting, screen printing and rigorous testing guarantee a flawless finish and optimal technical compliance.

  • Plastisart optimises the logistics of your plastic parts with tailor-made solutions: storage, packaging, fast delivery and on-site installation. A flexible and secure service for hassle-free management.

  • Designing a plastic part is one thing. Designing it with full knowledge of how it will be manufactured, in which material, using which transformation process and within what timeframe — that is another thing entirely. That is the assurance of a successful project, and it is precisely the value that Plastisart's in-house design office brings to the table.

Unlike an independent consultancy, our plastics engineering design office is directly integrated into our production workshops. Every study is developed in direct connection with our transformation technologies and capabilities: thermoforming, 3- and 5-axis machining, RIM injection, blow moulding, bending, welding, bonding.

The result: design optimised for manufacturability, reduced costs, controlled lead times and a single point of contact from the initial specifications through to final delivery.

  • Prototyping is the step that separates an idea from a finished, ready-to-use product. For an industrial manufacturer, it determines everything that follows: a poorly conceived prototype leads to delays, redesign costs and longer production lead times. Conversely, a well-executed and quickly validated prototype allows manufacturing to launch as soon as possible.

As an expert in 3D prototyping of plastic parts, Plastisart does not simply deliver a printed part. Our strength lies in supporting our clients throughout their thinking process, from the first prototype through to production in small, medium or large runs. Everything takes place in-house in our workshops, with our team and the materials we master.

The result: once your prototype is validated, the transition to production happens seamlessly with the same partner, without any break or loss of information.

    • A plastic component that is deteriorating?
    • Your original parts supplier no longer exists?
    • The mould no longer exists or has been destroyed?
    • The drawings for your parts cannot be found?
    • Your machine is at a standstill and purchasing a new one is not an option?

This is exactly the kind of situation for which Plastisart offers a reverse engineering service integrated into its production workshops. Starting from an existing part, even a damaged one, we reconstruct the complete digital model and relaunch manufacturing using the materials and processes best suited to your application.

A broken part, no drawings, no CAD file? That is not an obstacle. It is our starting point.

  • In plastic transformation, the quality of a part begins long before production. It begins with the tooling. A poorly designed thermoforming or RIM injection mould, approximate tolerances, a geometry that does not account for the transformation process: all of these are sources of non-conformities, reworking and accumulating delays.

At Plastisart, tooling design and manufacture are carried out in-house, in our integrated mechanical workshop. Thermoforming moulds, RIM injection tooling, assembly jigs, cutting and bending tools: every piece of tooling is designed by our technicians, manufactured in our workshops and validated on our production machines. This closed-loop operation guarantees complete consistency between the tool and the process, and removes the delays and risks associated with outsourcing tooling.

  • In the field of industrial plastic subcontracting, the compliance of a delivered part is absolutely non-negotiable. Whatever the type of part, it must meet the tolerances, functional requirements and specifications defined in the specifications. There are therefore no exceptions between the first batch and the last.

At Plastisart, quality control is integrated directly into the manufacturing process, not added at the end of the line. Our teams verify part compliance at every key stage of production, from the receipt of raw materials through to final packaging. This continuous inspection approach allows deviations to be detected and corrected as early as possible, before they affect an entire series.

  • In many industrial projects, the difficulty does not lie in manufacturing a part, but in integrating several components into a functional sub-assembly, ready to be mounted on a production line or delivered directly as a finished product. Coordinating several suppliers for each component, then entrusting the assembly to a third-party operator, multiplies interfaces, compatibility risks and delays.

At Plastisart, the assembly and mounting of plastic sub-assemblies is an integral part of our transformation offering. We take charge not only of manufacturing individual parts through our various processes — thermoforming, machining, RIM injection, blow moulding, bending — but also their assembly into complete, inspected and deliverable sub-assemblies according to your needs.

Engineering, design and research & development

The industrial success of a plastic part is determined from the study phase. This is why we offer our services to validate the feasibility of your projects before any investment.

  • Design office & CAD/DAO design : our engineers analyse your specifications to optimise the geometry of your parts according to the triptych of material, process and cost. We practise Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to simplify industrialisation.
  • Prototyping and 3D printing : before launching the manufacture of series tooling, we produce functional prototypes to validate the design, ergonomics and mechanical assemblies in a real-world situation.
  • Reverse engineering and 3D scanning : do you need to reproduce an existing part without original drawings? Thanks to our optical scanning technologies, we recreate the exact CAD file of any physical component.

Industrialisation and tooling manufacture

Mastery of tooling is a major strategic advantage that allows us to guarantee compliance with your launch schedules.

  • Mechanical workshop and tooling : unlike providers who outsource their tooling, Plastisart designs and machines its own moulds in-house. This technical autonomy drastically reduces development times and optimises the fixed costs of moulds for low-pressure injection (RIM) and thermoforming.

Finishing, assembly and logistics

A complete plastic subcontracting solution does not stop at the exit of the moulding machine. At Plastisart, we transform your raw components into finished ready-to-use products.

  • Quality control : equipped with advanced metrology tools, our quality department ensures full traceability (certificates 2.1 and 3.1) and carries out first article inspections (FAI) and statistical in-process controls.
  • Assembly and sub-assembly mounting : we take charge of integrating ancillary functions: metal insert fitting, technical bonding, riveting or complete assembly of complex mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Coating, marking and screen printing : our finishing workshop applies protective or bodywork paints (RAL/Pantone shades) and produces your industrial markings, logos or operator interfaces by laser engraving and screen printing.
  • Logistics and storage : we adapt our shipments to your industrial flows (scheduled deliveries, Kanban) and manage a safety buffer stock to guarantee the continuity of your supply chain.

Why choose Plastisart for your plastic subcontracting?

Entrusting your project to Plastisart means eliminating the multiplication of intermediaries and the communication risks between the designer, the mouldmaker and the transformer. By bringing together engineering, mould manufacture, polymer transformation and assembly under one roof, we secure the overall quality of your parts. Over 50 years of experience, end-to-end support, everything on a single site in Belgium.
